While running his Father's concrete construction company in New York, Ralph DeChiaro commuted between New York and Baltimore during the 1940's to build multi-housing for the military at Fort Meade, Maryland and for the Naval Base at Bainbridge in Cecil County, Maryland.
Getting involved in private building, Mr. DeChiaro moved his family to Baltimore in 1946.
In 1961 Diane DeChiaro married Lawrence R. Rachuba. Larry and Diane began a family of their own and along came Ray, Kim, Theresa and Chris.
Larry began working with Mr. DeChiaro in 1961 and then established Rachuba Enterprises, Inc. in 1977.
